Who are we?

The Association of Technical Staff in Psychology exists primarily to share knowledge between technicians working in Psychology and Psychology related departments in academic institutions.

Pete Beaman

Pete Beaman decided to leave his role as President of ATSiP, and we have decided to reclass the President's role as BPS Liaison Officer in order to carry on Peter's good work. At present the person carrying out this role has not been confirmed.

History of ATSiP

 

A Tribute to Keith Nicholson

The Keith Nicholson Memorial Prize will be presented annually at Conference for best voted ATSIP talk during the meeting. There is a shield which will be held for a year and a £150 Gift Token for the winner.


ATSiP Annual Conference

The Association holds an annual conference at different academic institutions throughout the UK and Ireland.The conference allows members to participate in the talks and presentations, see local research and teaching facilities and to meet socially.

 

The 2016 ATSiP Conference was held at Birmingham City University from Wednesday 29th June to Friday 1st July.

 

The conference report will follow shortly.

The Higher Education Academy Award

Technicians and demonstrators have a valuable role in supporting the student learning experience within psychology departments. In recognition, the Psychology Network, in collaboration with the Association for Technical Staff in Psychology (ATSiP), sponsor an annual award for a technician or demonstrator who has provided outstanding support for the student learning experience in their department.

The BPS/ATSiP Technical Support in Psychological Research Award

 

This annual award recognises the valuable role that technicians play in supporting research within their psychology departments.  It is offered by the British Psychological Society (BPS) in collaboration with the Association for Technical Staff in Psychology (ATSiP).
